Melina Fazzolari-Napoli, MST Supervisor at SCO Family of Services, has won MST Services’ 2010 “Whatever It Takes” Award.
This international award is given on an annual basis to an individual, family, group of people, program, or organization that has demonstrated creative, out-of-the-box thinking, persistence and dedication to do "whatever it takes" to accomplish positive outcomes for youth and their families undergoing Multisystemic Therapy, an intensive family- and community-based treatment model proven to have positive effects on serious, violent and chronic juvenile offenders. MST Consultant Dr. Jeff Randall will present Fazzolari-Napoli with her award at a celebration later this fall.
“Melina Fazzolari-Napoli has been instrumental in offering MST within her community,” said Joe Boggs, Chief Operating Officer for MST Services. “Her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of at-risk youth is worthy of recognition and we are honored to present Melina with this award.”
Fazzolari-Napoli is an MST Supervisor for SCO Family of Services’ Juvenile Justice Initiative program in Queens, New York. She’s one of over 550 MST Supervisors internationally. Melina works with her staff to assist them to more clearly grasp the MST analytical process and to better help their families. Her commitment to the JJI program and to the families and youth SCO serves is what drives her to "never give up".
JJI Program Director Jan Hassan-Butera praised Fazzolari-Napoli for her dedication to her staff and the families they serve. “Melina's perseverance, dedication and skill are what make her the best supervisor I could ever hope for. Melina certainly lives by the motto ‘you do whatever it takes to help our families’ and she does that every day.”
