David M. Rottkamp, CPA has joined Grassi & Co., a mid-sized, regional accounting and consulting firm, as Partner and Not-for-Profit Niche Practice Leader. Rottkamp brings more than 20 years of experience working with nonprofit clients, particularly those organizations serving individuals with special needs, educational institutions, social service providers, healthcare providers, foundations, and the arts and culture world. “Our not-for-profit practice has been growing steadily,” commented Grassi & Co. Managing Partner, Louis C. Grassi. “David’s breadth of experience and expertise will nicely compliment our existing talent in the niche and will help us take our not-for-profit practice to the next level.” “I’m incredibly excited to join the Grassi team,” said Rottkamp. “The firm has a nice stable of not-for-profit clients and I’m excited to help expand it further. Their infrastructure and growth platform are excellent and I look forward to bringing our not-for-profit services to a wider range of clients.” Rottkamp is a member of the Not-for-Profit Committee of the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has presented on a variety of topics and has conducted educational seminars for clients, accounting industry groups, and not-for-profit member organizations, including the Financial Managers Association (FMA); the New York State Society of CPAs Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE); and, the New York Council of Nonprofits Camp Finance. Rottkamp is a graduate of Pace University.
