The Health and Welfare Council of Long Island hosted its Annual Meeting on June 12th.   Robert Egger, President of DC Central Kitchen and Founder of the V3 Campaign, gave the keynote address.

The event included presentation of HWCLI’s Community Service Awards.  Paul Pontieri, Mayor of Patchogue, received the David Kadane Memorial Award for Advocacy.  Suzy D. Sonenberg, Executive Director Long Island Community Foundation, was honored with the Horace Hagedorn Award for Philanthropy.  Gerard McCaffery, President/CEO Mercyfirst, received the Sandy Lenz Community Service Award.

The HWCLI Annual Meeting was held at the Huntington Hilton in Mellville.
