Title: Ripples of Hope Dinner
When: Wednesday, May 4, 2011
Location: Pier 60, Chelsea Piers
The City Year New York Ripples of Hope Dinner will inspire more than 500 of New York's corporate, civic and philanthropic leaders by showcasing the power and potential of our 254 City Year corps members who make a difference to the children and communities of New York City every day.
This year we are honoring two champions who have helped City Year New York grow over the past 8 years; Steve Ellis, Worldwide Managing Director at Bain & Company and Joel Klein, Executive Vice President at News Corporation. Bain & Company is one of City Year's longest standing sponsors and a key strategic partner, donating more than $2 million in contributions and more than $7 million in pro bono consulting services. In Joel Klein's former role as Chancellor of the New York Department of Education, he was the first School District Chancellor to invest in City Year and national service as a solution to help solve the high school dropout crisis.
Please join us for this high energy night as we honor our supporters and invest in the growth of City Year New York.
