| Nazareth Housing Raises $250K at Annual Benefit |

Over 250 guests recently turned out for Nazareth Housing’s Annual Benefit, which raised over $250,000 to support the organizations efforts to prevent and end homelessness. The event, which was held at the Columbus Citizens Foundation, honored Priscilla Almodovar, President and CEO of the New York State Housing Finance Agency. The New York Junior League was also recognized, receiving Nazareth Housing’s Community Service Award.
Judd Levy, Chairman of the New York State Housing Finance Agency, presented Priscilla Almodovar with the 2009 Honoree Award. Ms. Almodovar addressed the crowd and praised the passion of Nazareth Housing in its mission. Gena Lovett the award accepted the Community Service award on behalf of The New York Junior League. “The past 12 months have been incredibly dynamic at Nazareth Housing,” stated Michael Callaghan, Executive Director of Nazareth Housing. “We have experienced incredible growth in the numbers of clients served as well as the scope of our supportive programming. We are exploring ways to promote affordable housing and we work diligently to provide supportive programming and services to help struggling families.”
The Benefit received continued support from donors as well as corporations such as Glenwood Management Corp, Omni New York, Richards Kibbe and Orbe, and many others. |
